It was the first MTG of the new yearly officers. We had a nice online speech session with 2 guests. At the beginning of the session, we had an inauguration ceremony to introduce for new officers from Area Director TM K. I hope everyone enjoyed the night and feel of Toast Master. Please let me share a brief report of the meeting as follows.
TM C introduced today's word of the evening as "Aggressive". We are becoming "Defensive" in this Covid-19 situation. For the wishes to be happy against that, she set the today's word as "Aggressive".
We had three prepared speeches;
TM K
His speech title was "The Most Honorable Person in My Life". He introduced Mr.Taido Matsubara who is the monk in the Myosin temple as a role model of his life. His words were impressive and TM K had inspired from the books and more than 50 books are in his bookshelf. These are the lessons learned from him. 3K means the 3 negative points of the working environment. Mr. Matsubara rephrased it as "Kando", "Kibou" and "Kuhuu" that has the ability to motivate people. It was a meaningful speech and lesson for our life. The introduced 3 words are good rephrasing to make our environment better.
TM S
He talked about the "Pathways". The speech title was "Why do you not have to worry about this". There were several challenges to switch the curriculum from the CC series and pathways. But he clarified the similarity of structure in each pathway. The same projects are contained in the pathways. 60% of projects have the same content. That is like cooking he said. Same ingredients but we can cook new dishes by using different recopies. So through a different pathway, we can provide a good speech. It gave us a good insight to start to use the "Pathways".
TM W
The speech title was "Process of Implementing Change!!". TM W has the motivation to change aggressive implementation to support TM member's challenges. TM W is focusing on the concrete changes for the process. He struggled before in the experience of English speech improvement. From the conversation with TM O, he got an idea to improve it by aggressive change and adjustment. In light of his advice, he changed his style. As a result of that challenge, he could go up to the next stage implementation. That is why he has a motivation for the "change aggressive implementation". It was a persuasive speech based on his real experiences to improve.
In the table topic session, we had 6 table topic speeches that are related to "New year's resolution progress", "Past memories as a freshman", "Wishes to the star" etc. All speeches were interesting and in a time range.

It was a good beginning session of the new yearly period. We had two guests today and everyone had a chance to speak. Each role taker provided great stuff so the lessons learnt made this time session more worthy to everyone.
