All attendees took a role or two, spoke and listened to a variety of speeches. Word of the Evening was intriguing. TM T. our Toastmaster of the Evening, decided on this word because four speeches were intriguingly titled and she was so anxious to listen to them. And they certainly were!
“Totonoeru” was the first speech delivered by TM A. He recommended to enter a sauna, take a water bath and rest. These simple acts relieve stress, give him satisfaction and happiness. He advised us to check https://sauna-ikitai.com and to be in a good condition.
“What should be the things to experience to be a manager” was next by TM U. He wants to be a manager and a dandy person. He shared his learnings from leaders to become one: good story telling skills, handsome appearance and good humor.
“Laughter Yoga” was presented by TM O. His speech began with a performance, clapping and chanting “Very good, Very good, Yay!” We did the exercise together. Laughter changed the state of his mind when he was depressed or felt melancholic.
“Small Business Owner empowerment – Logistic solution in India” was the last speech by TM W. He analyzed the situation, identified problems small business owners were facing and proposed logistics service as a solution. His speech was accompanied by a few well-structured slides with pictures, figures and charts.
For Table Topics TM S. chose Winter/December related topics.
TM G. “forever Grammarian”, a charming name addressed by TM U, General Evaluator, reported the excellent choice of words from TM W.’s speech:
Bottleneck, two concrete examples, a back-of-the envelope calculation
TM O. won Best Speaker, TM S. Best Evaluator and TM Y. Best Table Topics Speaker. Congratulations!
At our next meeting on December 23, 2021 Humor Speech Contest will be held.
