TMOE(Toastmaster of the evening. MC) was Y san. He did a good job as TMOE for the first time. He is always positive and humorous.

We have three experienced speakers. The three speakers looked like a professional, a doctor, psychologist and philosopher.
1st speaker was F san. His CC (Competent Communicator) project was #4 “How to say it” and speech title was “the benefit of parasites”. He talked about relationship between parasites and hay fever. We learned how parasites functioned to decrease patients who suffer from hay fever and allergy. His speech reminded me of my school days when I brought parasite kit to school.
2nd speaker was N san. It was a surprise that she already moved on to CC#8 “Get comfortable with Visual Aids” titled “Why he looked so nice”. Speaking of a man whom she loved at first sight, she emphasized how important the appearance is. In accordance with the project purpose, she prepared many pictures of the man with different facial expressions.
3rd speaker was our VPE A san. Her project was AC(Advanced Communicator)#4 “A fact finding report”
Title was “COGITO ERGO SUM” What does it mean? “Ware Omou Yue ni Ware ari”
She turned to a philosopher in this speech. Which do you choose “Honeymoon to Rome or Paris and with or without breakfast”?
I went to Okinawa on honeymoon because of “COGITO ERGO SUM”
The best speaker prize went to N san.
Individual evaluations were made by T san for speaker F san, S san for N san and M san for A san.
All evaluators raised good points and improvements. I am sure it helps speakers improve their next speech.
The best evaluator prize went to T san.
P san took the role of general evaluator. He has been so positive since he made a speech about the importance to participate in the contest.
We had practice and feedback session for contestants. Y san conducted this session in a family-like atmosphere.
Our president D san and K san from Chiyoda Toastmasters Club did great speeches. Speeches were worth winning the area contest.
Good news is that we had six guests and two guests declared to become a member.
